Dear Fellow Smokers:
I have a favor to ask. It’s not for me, but for the entire cigar industry that gives us so much pleasure. This industry is facing a challenge and we all need to lend our support.
The single most impressive thing about cigar smokers is how we all come together. It’s common for a doctor, a tradesman and college student to all share their passion for the the leaf. I see dinner tables and wedding receptions full of friends who met via their love of cigars. However, as much as the cigar community sticks together, I don’t think that we are doing all we can to fight for our smoking rights.
Here is what I’d like to ask you to do…
Join the CRA. Do it immediately. This organization is fighting the federal and local governments to keep cigar smoking regulations at a minimum. We are losing these battles largely because we are underfunded. It’s just $35 to join and your investment will go a long way.
What else can you do? Think about your favorite brands and vote with your wallet. Research which companies are investing in the future of the industry and which ones are letting others do the work. Ask your local cigar shop who supports them. Also, learn which of your senators and members of congress are helping with the regulations. Vote accordingly.
Support your local B&M. Having a place to enjoy your cigar is special, but having a quality environment where you can relax, make friends and learn more about the cigar-making is something extraordinary. I cannot think of anywhere else that spawns more quality relationships than a neighborhood cigar shop.
The cigar business has always been challenging. However, it is growing increasingly more challenging each day, week and month. It seems like you hear about a new smoking regulation almost every week. New corporate cigar stores and online cigar purveyors are also threatening the cozy, neighborhood cigar shop. Do your part by finding a local retail store that serves you well and support them the best way you know how…by frequenting their store.
Lastly, and most importantly, invite a coworker, someone from your softball league or the guy who sits next to you at church to join you for a cigar and some great conversation. We have something special here in the world cigar community. Together we can make it even better and guarantee that it will continue to exist for to one day enjoy a cigar with our son or grandson.
It’s that time of year again when we pause to appreciate our blessings. Our team understands that our customers are truly a blessing and we have loved providing you with quality cigars and exceptional service. Offering our guests a lounge where you can relax, enjoy your cigars, and engage with like-minded people has been a labor of love for us. We know that you have options and we thank you for your continued patronage.
As a valued member of our cigar-loving community, we want you to get everything on your wish list this season. Get that list down on paper, and send your spouse, brother, or Mom to see us. We will take care of the rest! We also have you covered if you are stumped trying to find a unique gift for a special client.
We look forward to your next visit, and wish you the happiest of holidays!

This Nicaraguan puro is a relaunch of an 80-year-old mainstay in the cigar universe. The 652T (6X52 Torpedo) has a deep brown, veined wrapper that promises to deliver a timeless classic smoking experience. It does not disappoint.
With a nice, easy draw and pleasantly smoky burn, it provides a consistent, smooth, smoke. While pulling no punches, it has a nice complexity and provides a smoke that is comfortable and familiar – like hanging with a good friend you’ve known your whole life. Perfect for that evening on the patio after a hard day, when you need the dependable comforts of old friends, old scotch, and a beautiful Spring sunset.
The opening is smooth, offering deep earthy/leathery tastes, with a little hint of spice on initial retrohale. Traces of sweetness (coffee/cocoa?) that combine with the heavier earthy flavors to offer a smooth medium smoke to my senses. This cigar smokes like a cruise through the country with the top down and a cool easy breeze in your hair. Nothing shocking or overwhelming, just a smooth easy ride.
As the smoke proceeds to the middle it is still consistently even. The heavier leather/earthy flavor comes to the forefront, the sweet fading like a memory of a moonlight kiss. The flirt of spice is still there like a beautiful woman’s wink, a promise of things to come perhaps.
This is a great cigar for deep thoughts or intimate conversations: it provides a dependable, steady, delicious smoke that won’t derail your thoughts or conversation.
As I hit the final third, the cigar provides a flavor palate that is still consistently full (medium-full now). Ah, and there’s the spice – still just a flirtatious tease; no slap in the face, just a subtle note with a phone number from that gorgeous woman you’ve been making eye contact with all night.
For my tastes, the Timeless 652T is like my favorite jeans, the t-shirt you hide so your wife won’t through it out…again, and worn-out but oh so comfortable slippers – a true creature comfort. Makes the list of a few of my favorite things.
