Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Connecticut - Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Connecticut is Perdomo's famous double-aged cigar that is aged for at least twelve full years in a two-stage process. These feature Cuban seeds grown into long-fillers in the fertile volcanic soil of the Perdomo farm in Nicaragua. The Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Connecticut is named partly for the famous Connecticut wrapper, which is marinated in a bourbon barrel for a full two years. This is only after the leaf itself has been aged in bales for a complete decade. The final product is a mature, medium-body experience with hints of nuts, caramel and subtle bourbon flavors. Brandon’s Thoughts: I get more cedar from the Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Connecticut then other Perdomo bourbon aged cigars. With subtle notes of citrus, and Perdomo’s signature spice this makes for an interesting smoke that is not quite as strong as some of Perdomo’s other offerings. I'd pair the Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage Connecticut with a gin and tonic to really bring out some of the citrus notes from the cigar.
