La Aurora rolled 500 boxes of 15. That's the whole run.

The name comes from the Cognac grade meaning "beyond age." Every leaf in the blend was aged at least 12 years before rolling. The wrapper and binder are Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed, over filler from Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. It's the same blend as the Hors d'Age 2025 Toro, rolled thinner and finished with green band accents.

Master blender Manuel Inoa describes it as opening with black pepper, then moving into wood, cinnamon, nuts and citrus. At a 40 ring gauge, the wrapper makes up more of every puff than it does in the Toro, so the spice and citrus come through sharper. Smoke it slow.

La Aurora Hors d'Age 2025 Lancero Details:

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed

Binder: Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed

Filler: Colombia, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua

Size: Lancero 6 7/8 x 40

Strength: Medium to Full

Tasting Notes: Black pepper, wood, cinnamon, nuts, citrus

Estimated Smoke Time: 60 - 75 minutes

Production: 500 boxes of 15

Made at La Aurora, Santiago, Dominican Republic

Lancero vs. Toro

Lancero (6 7/8x40) — Same blend as the Toro, different shape.
