2020 Wrap Up and Retail Top Sellers

2020 was an interesting year to say the least. As a retailer, this year has challenged us in various unforeseen ways. However, it has also been a rewarding year for us as challenging times often bring people together. As for the cigar industry as a whole, I believe the numbers are going to show that sales were ultimately up for the year. While there were some clear winners and losers - people seem to be enjoying premium cigars more than ever.  Through all of the craziness that was 2020, it was a successful year here at Renegade! 

For us:

We were forced to make some adjustments, cancel events and change the way we run our in-store business. However, the conversation stayed the same. How do we continue delivering quality service and an experience that our friends and customers cannot get anywhere else? 

We released several new cigars - even more than normal. Even if we didn’t know it at the time, having exciting blends really turned out to be a huge blessing during the time we were not allowed to operate as a lounge. I would like to thank everyone who supported our work - it is more appreciated than you know. 

We deployed an e-commerce element to our business which has granted us the opportunity to serve our customers in a new way. The response was surprisingly good, even if the product wasn’t perfect. We have since re-launched the website with a substantially better user experience. While our primary focus remains in-store, we are happy to serve our customers in the way that best fits their lifestyle. 

The Conclusion:

Our manufacturers were supportive, our staff worked hard, and our customers were loyal - we close out this year as grateful as ever.
