Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Arturo Fuente Destino al Siglo?
It's the cigar Arturo Fuente blended to mark the company's 100th anniversary. The full name on the box is Don Arturo Gran AniverXario Destino al Siglo. The tobacco comes from Chateau de la Fuente, the family's estate farm in the Dominican Republic.
How is it different from OpusX?
Both use estate tobacco from Chateau de la Fuente, but they are grown from different seed. OpusX is built on Corojo. Destino al Siglo uses Habano seed from the same ground. The result is rounder and sweeter than OpusX rather than sharp and peppery.
What is the Destino al Siglo made of?
A Dominican Habano wrapper grown at Chateau de la Fuente over Dominican binder and filler. It's a Dominican puro, rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia.
How strong is it?
Medium to full. Fuente describes it as a full-flavor smoke, and that's fair — cedar and baking spice carry most of the way through, with more weight in the second half.
What sizes does the Destino al Siglo come in?
Four vitolas, all packed 26 to a box: de Amistad (5 x 50), de Amor (5 1/4 x 52), de Familias (6 1/8 x 47), and de Pasión (6 3/4 x 50).
Is the Destino al Siglo still in production?
Availability has been thin for years. It shows up in limited quantities and sells through quickly. If you see a size you want in stock, that's the window.
