Reviving a Forgotten Brand

Camacho Cigars was founded in 1961 by Simon Camacho. Simon Camacho passed in 1990, leaving it to fall from grace, to be later revived.

In 1995, Camacho was acquired by the Eiroa Family and revived. Production moved from Nicaragua to Honduras, allowing cigar aficionado Christian Eiroa to apply his expertise and reinvigorate the brand.

Around the launch of the Camacho Corojo, the Eiroa Family became one of the leaders in the industry. The flavor profile of these legendary cigars delivers bold and complex flavors and earthy notes.

An Icon in The Cigar Industry

But the Eiroa Family didn’t hold on to Camacho for too much longer because, in 2008, Camacho Cigars and its Rancho Jamastran factory in Danli, Honduras, sold to the Davidoff Group.
