The Davidoff Dominicana is another knockout release from the world famous Davidoff! This blend pays its respects to the Dominican Republic, both to its rich culture and soil, but most importantly, where Davidoff cigars are produced!
The Davidoff Dominicana contains a blend of five super premium Dominican fillers that bring a complex and robust smoking experience. Enjoy the remarkable tastes of natural aged tobacco, cocoa, coffee, and mild baking spices. Rounding out the blend, the Dominicana uses an Ecuadorian hybrid binder that is wrapped up in a beautiful Dominican wrapper. To really pay homage to the Dominican Republic, Davidoff reccomends pairing this smoke with a Dominican Rum that's sweet yet spicy.
Don’t forget, in true Davidoff fashion, the premium tobacco for the Davidoff Dominicana is aged for six years before release. This aging accentuates the full bodied yet nuanced flavors that trasnport you to an island of flavor, far off the coast from ordinary. It’s no secret that I’m a Davidoff Cigars fan, just like how I’m a boxing fan. But just like the feeling I get before my favorite fighter’s next big fight, I worry when Davidoff releases something new. Fortunately, somehow, they delivered yet another knockout. The Davidoff Dominicana uses a mix of five different tobaccos aged for six+ years. It delivers a decent amount of strength and body, yet is still super smooth. That simply cannot be done using anything other than fine, well-aged tobaccos. It’s got a very dense, almost steak like flavor to it that is a little different for Davidoff. What they do keep the same is how they beautifully balance the flavor, strength and complexity. Definitely a great, new contender to the ring.Pairing suggestion: Ron Zacapa 23
