The Diamond Crown Julius Cesear by J.C. Newman is named after after J.C. Newman himself, and not the famous ruler. But this cigar is still fit for a king!
Born in 1875 in a Hungarian village, Julius Newman and his family sailed across the Atlantic in 1888 in search of the American Dream. Having no middle name, Julius needed to choose one before workers could complete his immigration info. Thus, he seemed help from the officer who suggested Caesar, after the great Roman ruler. Julius relished in the thought of being named after a historic leader and conqueror but unfortunately due to a typo by the officer, Caeser was spelled with an “e”. Thus Julius (J.C.) Newman, the US citizen, was born.
To celebrate J.C. Newman's 135th birthday and the cigar company’s 115th anniversary, Diamond Crown Julius Caeser was released. These cigars are expertly rolled by hand at Tabacalera Fuente in the Dominican Republic. Like all Diamond Crown cigars, Julius Caeser is held to the highest standard of quality control.
