Brandon’s Thoughts: The Guardian of the Farm now has a predecessor, The Guardian of the Farm Cerberus. This medium strength, full flavor cigar is a Nicaraguan puro utilizing 100% Aganorsa Leaf tobacco. This includes a brand new tobacco from Aganorsa, corojo 2012 that they showcase on the wrapper. While the description from Aganorsa “spicy and rich” would typically keep me away from from the cigar, I find the spice to be very manageable. In fact, I would describe the cigar well balanced and smooth. It does deliver a slight spice that you would expect from a Nicaraguan puro. It also has nice hints of coffee and earthiness. Now that I have smoked through all three sizes, I find myself going back to the 6x44 (Lonsdale) vitola. While it is my preferred size, those who smoke fast or prefer a more open draw may prefer the 52 (Robusto) or 54 (Toro) ring gauge versions more. Value: Like most of the Aganorsa Leaf line, it brings a lot of value for the price. Strength: 6/10 Pairing: Dalmore 12, coffee or Celebrator Dopplebock
