Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Nicaraguan Shade Grown?
The Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Nicaraguan Shade Grown is a limited-production Nicaraguan cigar blended by Nick Perdomo Jr. It uses the family's Habano-and-Cameroon-seed hybrid leaf as both wrapper and binder, with filler from Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa. It comes in one size, a box-pressed Gran Figurado.
What does the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Nicaraguan Shade Grown taste like?
The Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Nicaraguan Shade Grown is medium to full, with Cameroon sweetness and spice out front, cedar and leather underneath, and Habano character on the finish. Nick Perdomo Jr. used lower primings than his son did on the regular Legacy, which shifts the balance toward the Cameroon side.
What is the hybrid tobacco in the Perdomo Legacy line?
The hybrid is a cross of Habano and Cameroon seed developed by Nick Perdomo Jr. and grown under shade at Perdomo's Finca Natalie farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. Habano brings body and aroma; Cameroon brings sweetness, spice, and tooth. All three Father & Son blends use it as their binder, and this blend also uses it as the wrapper.
Why is the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son a limited release?
Every tobacco in the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son series comes from rare lots harvested between 2011 and 2016 and aged 10 to 15 years. There is not enough of it for regular production, so Perdomo releases the line only once or twice a year. Limited releases are unusual for the company.
What is the Gran Figurado size?
The Gran Figurado is a box-pressed figurado measuring 6 inches with the ring gauge stepping through 48, 60, and 52 along its length. It is the only vitola offered across all three Father & Son blends. The cigars ship in 50-count chests built at Perdomo's own box factory.
What sizes and prices does Renegade Cigars carry for the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Nicaraguan Shade Grown?
Renegade Cigars carries the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Nicaraguan Shade Grown in the Gran Figurado (6 x 48/60/52) at $15.23 per single and $761.50 for the 50-count chest.
