The Rocky Patel Winter Collection is dressed in a dark, Mexican San Andrés wrapper that surrounds the Honduran and Nicaraguan filler & binder combination. This medium to full bodied cigar has notes of white pepper, earthiness and leather. Growing more bold as the cigar burns, this well constructed cigar is filled with peppery earthiness that builds the more of the cigar you smoke. When Rocky Patel announced the return of the Winter collection I was excited because this has always been a sought after release. Utilizing the original blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers and Nicaraguan binder - this year they utilized a new San Andreas wrapper. It's been a few years since I've smoked the original blend with the Broadleaf wrapper, but I think I like the use of San Andreas this year. It offers an additional layer of earthiness to this already earthy, sweet and nutty medium-plus strength blend. Recommend pairing: Balvenie Peat Week
