Frequently Asked Questions
What is the RoMa Craft CRAFT Maquette Scuttlebutt?
Scuttlebutt is a limited release in RoMa Craft Tobac's CRAFT Maquette Series, a line that gives smokers a look at blends still in development. It is built as a lighter interpretation of the Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion 1794.
What is the blend on the Scuttlebutt?
RoMa Craft has not disclosed the wrapper, binder, or filler. Withholding the recipe is part of how the Maquette Series works. The company has confirmed the cigar is based on Whiskey Rebellion 1794, which uses a high-priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.
How strong is the Scuttlebutt?
Medium to full. It reads lighter than the Whiskey Rebellion 1794 it is based on, so it works for smokers who want RoMa Craft character without the full weight of the original line.
How limited is this release?
Production was capped at 1,800 bundles of 10, or 18,000 cigars total. RoMa Craft originally planned 1,000 bundles and raised the run before release. Each bundle ships in craft paper with a colored ribbon instead of a traditional band.
Where is the Scuttlebutt made?
At Fabrica de Tabacos Nica Sueno S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua, RoMa Craft's own factory.
